Hello World, I'm your Biggest Fan.

I'm a little uncomfortable with this. I feel like I just walked in to a room filled with all of those people that I sort of kind of know. Not good enough that I talk to them, so I don't know what exactly I should be doing. Its just completely unnerving.

Maybe I should start out with one of those get to know each other games. Except with myself. Here goes:

1. How would you describe yourself in three words? I'm not really good at explaining things quickly, but... I guess I would say I'm a Quirky, Life-Loving girl. By life loving I mean that I love life, but also that I love people, and dogs, and.. every other form of life (Except maybe Stinkbugs and Spiders).

2. What makes you happy? Traveling, Learning, Meeting new people, and spending time with the people I love. While I would never want to stay in my small home town my whole life,  when I'm travelling all I want to do is share it with my closest confidants. My travelling goal is Brazil, and after that South Africa. I have already been to Canada, the US, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, France, Poland, and Austria. This year I'll also be hitting the Czech Republic, Hungary, and going back to a couple of other European countries. I am currently in Berlin, Germany for 1 year, but I come from the US, and will be heading back in July.

3. What quote do you live by? "Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish" by Steve Jobs. After he delivered that speech, I was so impacted by those four words. They have become my goal in life, and I try to keep to them as much as I can.

4. What is your passion? I love languages. I wish I could learn every single one, so I could communicate with people all over the world. I can speak English, German, and Spanish fluently, as well as French and Italian at a beginners level. In addition I can understand Portuguese and most Germanic languages. I also find extinct languages so interesting. I think its because it makes me feel like I should learn languages as soon as possible, before its too late. I think the big sign that you really know a language is when you think and dream in the language. During my year in Germany, English has actually become really difficult for me. I have forgotten so much and spell the simplest words like "but" wrong now. I have thrown myself so entirely into the German language that my other languages have started to fade, which I sure hope goes away when I start to use them again!

5. What is the compliment you get most often? Hm. This is a tough one. I would probably say about my hair. I have really thick, straight, brown hair with sunny blond highlights.  I don't find it that great, I find it completely ordinary. But if I'm being honest that's what people tell me very often!

6. Why are you starting a blog? I am not even sure myself if I can answer this one yet. To tell about my life. My experiences, my adventures, and when Im sick in bed, the best movie I just watched. We'll see where this goes. Until then,

Yours,

Ellie
